Services

Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

  • Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy helps restore health, strength and function to injured or post-operative sites through a mechanical examination, stretching, exercises and home exercise programs. The PT providers at Austin Preferred have treated a wide variety of injuries, helping patients regain their independence and get back to living healthy, active lives.
  • Spinal Adjustments

Spinal Adjustments improve mobility and relieve discomfort by manipulating the joints and alignment of the spine. Dr. Jeff Fluitt uses multiple techniques, including standard manipulation, Flexion Distraction and the Activator Method. His ability to provide multiple solutions for back pain makes him a top provider for spinal adjustments in Austin.
  • Spinal Decompression

Spinal Decompression patients lay strapped into a specialized traction table, which gently pulls open the joint space to relieve built-up spinal and disc pressure.
  • Graston Technique

The Graston Technique uses specialized metal instruments to break down scar tissue in areas of restriction, which cause myofascial pain. Dr. Jeff Fluitt's track record of positive outcomes makes him one of the top providers for Graston in Austin.
  • Knee Traction

Knee Traction gently decompresses the joint space to relieve pressure on the knee. This modality is usually accompanied by laser therapy, which heals the damaged tissues within the joint space.
  • Active Release Technique

During therapy with the Active Release Technique, the provider applies pressure to targeted areas while patient movements help break up scar tissue. This modality is effective at treating many soft-tissue conditions. Dr. Jeff Fluitt's ability to effectively incorporate ART into treatment plans makes him one of the top providers for the Active Release Technique in Austin.
  • Cupping Therapy

Plastic suction cups are used to draw toxins out of the deeper tissues, which allows renewed blood flow to bring oxygen and nutrients to the area. This results in decreased pain and inflammation, as well as improved mobility and range of motion.
  • Dry Needling

Dry Needling involves the insertion of small needles into the sites of soft-tissue pain to stimulate the body's natural healing process. This modality is effective at treating pain in the muscles, tendons and ligaments, usually resulting in improved range of motion and decreased inflammation as well.
  • Trigger Point Therapy

Trigger Point Therapy helps relieve myofascial pain by breaking up contraction knots with the assistance of Manual Therapy, trigger point balls and foam rollers.
  • SFMA

Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) helps identify the root sources of muscle pain through a series of movement tests. This diagnostic tool can help the provider choose the most effective, efficient course of treatment for a patient's condition.

Regenerative Medicine

  • Platelet Rich Plasma

    $500.00
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) uses the body's own natural healing powers by isolating growth factors from the patient's own blood and injecting them back into the site(s) of chronic pain. This modality has proven remarkably effective for healing soft tissue injuries where many other common treatments have previously failed. We offer free consultations for patients who are seriously interested in PRP in Austin.
  • Stem Cell Therapy

Stem Cell Therapy involves the introduction of human cells into sites of pain to regenerate damaged tissues, providing profound relief for many cases which haven't responded to other treatment modalities. The cells have the ability to multiply and differentiate into muscle, ligament, tendon and bone tissue, meaning this technique can be used on virtually any part of the body. In addition to its current use for musculoskeletal injuries, studies have proven Stem Cell Therapy effective for treating certain types of cancers, blood diseases, strokes and diabetes, to name a few.

Laser Therapy

  • Laser Therapy

    $50.00
Laser therapy harnesses light energy and converts it into a therapeutic stream capable of promoting healing in many of the body's tissues. There are no hot or cold sensations during treatment, which usually lasts about 15 minutes per body part. Laser therapy can be used on virtually any part of the body and serves as an excellent complement to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation treatment. Six sessions are standard for healing acute pain, while 12-session plans are recommended for chronic pain. We also offer free consultations for people interested in laser therapy in Austin.

Holistic Medical Services

  • Blood Panels

Blood Panels assess the characteristics of patients' blood to scan for certain conditions. Patients can choose specific panels or broad wellness panels.
  • Food Sensitivity Testing

Food Sensitivity Testing tests for sensitivities in the body caused by an immune system response to certain food components. Patients can choose a 96-food panel or a more comprehensive 184-food panel.
  • Genetic Nutrition Testing

Genetic Nutrition Testing analyzes the patient's DNA for variations that could impede how the body metabolizes certain substances. The test results come with customized supplement advice to address issues found during testing.
  • Heart Risk Assessment

Heart Risk Assessments assess the patient's risk for heart disease through analysis of a blood sample.
  • Migraine Treatment

Our migraine treatment is a two step approach to treating migraines and headaches. The patient will first receive a medicated injection into the nasal cavity and will then discuss potential environmental triggers of headaches, allowing the provider to make lifestyle recommendations to decrease the likelihood of further episodes.
  • Trigger Point Injections

Trigger Point Injections inject a natural, pain-relieving substance into myofascial trigger points, usually providing immediate, lasting relief for soft-tissue pain.
  • Wellness Supplements

The providers at Austin Preferred prescribe premium supplements to help patients improve wellness to an optimal degree.
